Free foods
Blending a walk in the country with foraging in the hedgerows can be an enjoyable and rewarding afternoon for all the family.
Blackberry season is the most commonly thought of when talking of foraging in hedgerow but there are lots of berries and plants that can be found.
Wild garlic is one for early spring. Once the growing season is underway there are plants like young dandelion leaves and nettles that make excellent free food.
