Savoury Pies, Puddings and Pastries

Pastry can often make a small amount of filling go a bit further or appear more appealing. A mixed vegetable pie sounds appetizing. Pastry can also hold a filling together such as in carrot and lentil flan or even a way of using up left overs.

Steamed puddings whether filled with meat or vegetables, r even both, on a cold winters day are a sight for sore eyes, fill you up and warm you through keeping out those bitter winds and temperatures.

Winter pies are another area the British are good at making along with stews and puddings.
