Little house on a budget

This isn’t a ‘living on benefits’ blog but certainly about living on a very low income. It isn’t just a cooking blog either, although cooking will probably take centre stage. I don’t want to write about the things that are a problem because I want it to be a more uplifting piece of writing. More a case of how I am overcoming some of the problems I face. Salad

Not just lettuce, cucumber and tomato with a dollop of salad cream but a wide range of cold and sometimes warm vegetable dishes defined in dictionaries as:

A dish of raw leafy green vegetables, often tossed with pieces of other raw or cooked vegetables, fruit, cheese, or other ingredients and served with a dressing.

In more modern times a salad may not have a leafy green vegetable in site like my carrot salad.
