Toasties for 1

Ingredients £0.06

2 slices of bread spread sparingly with butter
Filling of choice

Method
1. Preheat your sandwich toaster and with the buttered side to the outside make your sandwich and place in the sandwich maker.

2. Cook for approximately 4 minutes checking to ensure the outside is brown and not soggy. Separate the segments and serve on it’s own or with salad allowing a few minutes for the filling to be cool enough to eat.

N.B. It is better made in a sandwich toaster as it crimps the edges and seals in the filling but if you don’t have a sandwich toaster you can make more solid fillings like cheese and onion as previous and cook in a dry frying pan or on a griddle turning half way through. The filling may leak a little though.
